At some point, something shifts.
You start to feel it:
A comment that lands differently.
A moment that lingers.
A way you’ve lived with for years that doesn’t feel okay anymore.
You can’t quite explain why.
But you know.
For years, maybe decades, you’ve accepted things.
The way people speak to you.
The way you’re treated.
The way you feel in your own life.
Not because you chose it. This becames your normal.
You adapted.
You learned to live with it.
You told yourself, “this is just how it is.”
Until one day, it isn’t.
That’s the moment everything begins.
You decide.
You decide:
I don’t want to feel like this anymore.
I don’t want to be spoken to this way.
I don’t want to keep putting myself last.
You decide: What about me?
This isn’t about blame. It’s about awareness.
Most women don’t even realise what they’ve lived through.
I’ve had women tell me, “I’ve had a pretty easy life.” Then, as we talk, stories start to surface.
Moments.
Patterns.
Beliefs that quietly shaped what they accepted and expected.
Things that were never named, but deeply felt.
This is how it happens.
Not overnight. Through repetition. Through conditioning.
Through years of your system learning:
👉 what’s safe
👉 what’s expected
👉 what to tolerate
And here’s the part that matters most: That learning can change.
You don’t wake up one day and run a marathon.
You train for it.
Step by step. Moment by moment. Choice by choice.
Your nervous system works the same way.
It was trained into stress, into overwhelm, into accepting what didn’t feel good.
And now, you get to train it in a different direction.
Let’s decide:
to listen when something feels off
to pause instead of pushing through
to recognise what your body is telling you
to stop settling for what drains you
to start choosing what supports you
This isn’t a one-time decision. It’s a series of small ones. And they add up.
Because everything is cumulative.
The stress.
The overwhelm.
The patterns.
And the healing.
I know this personally.
One comment, years ago, stayed with me. It shaped how I saw myself, what I believed I deserved, what I accepted.
I didn’t question it at the time. I lived it. Until I saw it.
And once you see it, you can’t go back the same way.
So this is your moment.
Not to fix everything.
Just to decide.
